"The Rime of the Ancient Mariner"

ReplyDeleteAn old man is telling the story of when he was stuck out at sea. In the story the ship got lost and was stuck in ice. But a magic like bird would bring food and some how the wind to make the ship move through the ice. But when the guy shoots the bird with an arrow the bird doesn't bring food anymore. and the old man was punished by the crew.
ReplyDeleteThese men go out to sea, there's this giant bird, and one of the guys kills it, turns out he was the thing making the wind blow and making the ship move, so they get stuck out in the middle of nowhere. The wind isn't blowing so they aren't moving. They're all dying of thirst and the heat is killing them. So they all hate this douche who shot the freakin bird. And so he's wearing this bird around his neck...i don't know why he just is.

ReplyDeleteSome people go out to sea and they find a giant bird. One of the guys kills it and finds out it was the thing that was making the wind blow and the ship move. They are stuck out in the sea because of that. Now they are all dying of thirst and they all hate the man that killed the bird. The guy who killed the bird is now wearing the bird. They are lost and stranded in the middle of nowhere now and it's all because of the guy that decided to kill the bird, so they all are obviously blaming him.
ReplyDeleteThe mariner is telling a story of when he was stuck out at sea. The ship got stuck in ice somehow. A bird would bring food and then there was wind that helped move the ship through the ice.
ReplyDeleteIn the poem I think the ship had sailed to a land that had not been explored or discovered yet. I think the Mariner wants to tell someone of their discovery so he's telling the wedding guest. I think it must have been an important discovery because the Mariner puts the wedding guest under a spell so he has no choice but to listen.
ReplyDeleteOld guy is telling a story to a guy trying to go to a wedding. The old guy is at sea and ice goes all around or something. The southwest winds blew to hard and the fog was thick. The old guy shot the albatras or some sort of bird with his corssbow, thinking the wind would stop.

So far this guy on a ship shoots down an albatross that creates wind. So when he shoots this albatross down his ship won't move on the sea.Now the mariner and his crew are stranded at sea, with no water to drink.

DeleteI think what is happening, is all these people are out at sea and they don't have food or anything. their just out there surviving on their own. At first, all the people are happy, but then the night gets dark, people get sad, and afraid. The days went on, and on. They got attacked by sea creatures and its really stormy outside, but then the sunshine was beating down on them and the sea creatures.

DeleteThe old mariner (narrator) is telling the young dude about how he shot this bird like thing called an albatross. After killing this bird he believes it brought some curse upon him and a horrendous storm. They also run out of food and water, and get stuck at sea and see monstrous things.

ReplyDeleteSo it's about a crazy guy telling a story to a wedding guest about how they where stuck in an icy place then a Albatross "Saved" Them. Every day they feed the bird and all is good. Then out of boredom the main character shoots the bird. They get stuck on a horse Latitude, so there is no wind they run out of water, and to "show" his sin he wares the corpse of the dead bird around his neck.

ReplyDeleteThe mariner tells his story to one of the visitors in the wedding. The story is about a ship that was sailing through icy waters, meeting sea monsters on their way. Then an albatross appears and they say it is the presence of a christian soul. It gets shot by the mariner with his crossbow and it clears the sky. And the sun starts beating down upon them and they are in lack of food and water, and it is here the second parts starts.

ReplyDeletethe mariner set out to sea with his boat buddies and they ended up in a really cold icy place and then the albatross showed up, he shot the goofy looking bird and since everyone ended up really thirsty they called him names and hung the giant bird from his neck.

People were thirsty and there were slimy creatures and stuff. There was a albatross who was good and he shot it and now even more bad things are happening.

ReplyDeleteThe mariner is telling a story about how he shot a bird. I think the bird some how controlled the weather because after the bird dies the winds got stronger making it harder to travel. The ship then got stuck and they ran out of water.

With the appearance of the bird, a southern wind picks up and carries the ship. For some odd reason the Mariner decides to shoot the bird. Drought came to the ship and the Mariner wears the Albatross around his neck...

ReplyDeleteThere was a mariner telling another person about what happened to him on a ship. The mariner said that he was on a ship an he saw a bird that kept coming back to the ship day after day and he shot the bird. After that the winds didn't blow, the sun rose from the right and went down on the left. They were all stuck on the ship, not moving. He talked about all the water around them but non to drink. Then the weather got icy and snowy and that's about it.
